It's not when you submit, it's when it's processed and put on IFDB. We're in June now, so if an edit hasn't been released on IFDB yet it won't be classed as a May edit. TM2YC has been on holiday and was not able to go through everything before they went away, which is why we had a small release last week.

Once the poll is up it's up. It won't have any changes unless there's an error.

We obviously try our best to accommodate that, but at the end of the day if someone submits at the eleventh hour it's at their own risk. There are more and more submissions these days, and we can't control if a chunk come in at the end of the month when a key admin is away. It doesn't make sense to delay the poll for edits that can't be processed until the following month, nor does it seem fair to have some edits added to the poll late when voting has already started.

To clarify, it is the first one (assuming you mean it has been published/made public). None of the edits you mention are on the database yet.

I mean the underlying database (MySQL or MariaDB, likely). They are in there somewhere and will have a timestamp corresponding to when the form was submitted.

I'm cognizant there's no guarantee if you submit at the 11th hour, but I thought the 27th left a reasonable margin this time (I know I've literally squeaked things in at the last minute before, and I'm grateful for the work that goes on behind the scenes to moderate them and copy the assets, etc.). I know it was a weird week with staff absent, but I figured there would be one last moderation pass before the poll was propped up.

Hmm. I can't speak to that, unfortunately. If they're concerned it's fallen through the cracks they should message TM2YC and he can look into it once he gets back.

Ok. Unfortunately that doesn't really work because if it's not publicly on IFDB, it can't be put on the poll.

I did use to take it from the month put on the IFDB form, but the trouble with that is that people often input the date incorrectly (or incompletely). Encouragements for people to proof these did not stop the issue from recurring and it easily caused errors on the poll. So now I just take it from when we announce them in the articles (which corresponds with when TM2YC makes them public), which I think makes more sense (and is less time-consuming for me to sort through).

For those who are wondering: No, I didn't vote for my own edit. The last edit I remember voting for was Art and futon's Mathilda, which I think was last month.

I don't remember the date I sent my submission, but I did send a message to TM2YC last week. I still haven't received a response from him yet, and I'm starting to get concerned. But then again, he might still be on vacation, so it could be just me.

I believe that they are still on vacation. @TM2YC is very good about getting these things sorted. I think your edit was submitted right about the time the forum was experiencing some problems. I regret that your edit didn't go live last month almost as much as you do. That is some of my very best art. Especially, The uncensored version.😉

The problems reported were only associated with users posting reviews on IFDb. It may have extended beyond that, but no one reported it. Edits submitted last week after the midway point of the week were not included in the May list. They will show up in June's FEOTM poll.

@Eyepainter I reviewed the logs and only see a single submission entry from you back in September. There aren't any new pending listings from you. I'd recommend patiently waiting for TM2YC to return.
