As you can see - There are reasons why Man of Steel: Special Edition is still being worked on. There are a lot of things going into the final touch ups of the Film, and I'm only one man, lol... Here's the Latest VFX I've completed.
There's one small issue with your first version that you might be able to fix with this one. At the very end, you added some footage from "Superman Returns" to show Superman flying high in the air before he goes into space. The problem with it is that this footage looked much too clear and grainless in comparison to footage from "Man of Steel" (which had a significant amount of grain). Also, there is a brief glimpse of the red trunks visible, which breaks continuity with the rest of the edit.

As you appear to be again using "Superman Returns" footage, you might want to add some grain so that it matches the "Man of Steel" footage.

Yeah, the red trunks are a dead giveaway. I wonder if they could be painted out.

I have tried several times, but it just doesn't look good unfortunately, and maybe I've gone about it wrong, but I've tried masks and color to color changes, Hue adjustments, etc.. I can get the color to change that's not the issue, the issue lies where the red bleeds to the blue in the pants, So there is still this very light edge of red/brown that's very faded, but obvious, it doesn't look good. So its just better to leave as is. I know its a continuity issue and just kinda a distraction, I just don't know If I can fix it, to the point of being completely happy with the results.
But its not like I haven't tried.
But thanks for pointing out all the negatives and nothing at all positive, its very helpful, at least I know all the hard work is never appreciate cause its never enough.

It doesn't sound that hard but I could be wrong. Please post a fullsize screenshot of the frame in which the red pants are the most obvious.

Don't be so sarcastic and ungrateful to people who are trying to help you. If you can't handle criticism, don't post anything in this thread.

I'm sorry if it came across that way. I'm really just trying to be helpful.

Also, while it seems that my comment about the red trunks is garnering the most attention; the lack of grain in the "Superman Returns" footage (which is a much easier thing to fix than painting out the red trunks would be) was the main thing that I wanted to bring to your attention in that comment.

Also, I only noticed the red trunks in one brief moment where they can be seen clearly for a second or two in that scene at the end of your first edition of the edit; I didn't even notice them in that screenshot you posted above until I looked at it very closely, so I don't think that painting them out frame by frame is necessary (nor did I suggest it). I had just thought that it might be helpful to trim that one second of footage at the end of your first version where the trunks are highly visible for a moment (if it didn't ruin the timing of the scene or cause other problems).

Hey man!

I'm really interested in your edit of Man of Steel! Where can I get it? I own the physical copy on blu ray.

Thanks!
