As some of you know, the Looney Tunes Super Stars (Bugs Bunny: Hare Extrodinare and Daffy Duck Frustrated Fowl) features post-1953 cartoons in a matted widescreen:

However, WB are saying that the reason for this was because that how they were shown in theaters and that's correct. But the fact is, we've come to know and love our Golden Age cartoons (from the dawn of the early 1900s-early 80's) in original full screen as they were made and created for (unless if they were made in cinemascope like Tom and Jerry in the 50's). We don't even know if the new Foghorn Leghorn disc will feature the cartoons in matted widescreen. Someone should attempt to fix these errors by making a custom DVD of the Super Stars sets (Bugs and Daffy) by leaving the pre-1953 cartoons alone (since they're in original full screen) and finding the best sources (DVD, Laserdisc, or whatelse) and using the remastered transfers from the Super Stars sets to reconstruct the original full screen versions of the post-1953 shorts. Who will take up the challenge?
