Last DVD, Blu-Ray, UHD or Digital you purchased?

Latest additions to my collection. I don't know if anybody else is partaking in the annual "31 Days Of Halloween" viewing challenge but you can follow my viewing selections for this challenge on my instagram.

Now that San Francisco's Amoeba Records is open again, perhaps the last (and, I fear, maybe doomed?) place in the City to buy cheap secondhand media, this piece by Ben from Canada made me take the plunge on a $2.34 used Blu ray (plus digital code!) of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. :p Alas, I didn't notice until I got home it has zero extras, with the extensive BTS doc being exclusive to the 3D release...

Today’s treasures: Cowboy Bebop The Movie on blu-ray and Titan A.E. on DVD.

Been wanting to work on a remaster of Titan A.E. because it’s a childhood favorite and I’m highly disappointed that it hasn’t gotten an official blu-ray. So I’m gonna do the best that I can to give it a hopefully BD quality upgrade.

^ Titan A.E. is available to buy in what they claim is 1080p digital from the iTunes and Amazon stores.

Replacing another copy that the Blu-ray disc vanished from. :( It's worth re-buying.

I found a criterion DVD copy of High and Low at the used media store the other day and it was just too tempting to pass up.

Hmm... interesting. I'll check into this and what the quality is like. Thanks for letting me know.

EDIT (7/10/2020 10:14 PM EST): Checked it out and yeah, it's in pretty decent quality 1080p. Bought the digital, now it's time to figure out how to get it on disc. Thank again, TM2YC!

I previously owned a copy of Stargate: Ultimate Edition, but that release only included the director's cut. This is the 2-disc set which includes both the theatrical & director's cuts. I'd prefer to get the newer BD release, but beggars can't be choosers.

With my birthday on the horizon I decided to upgrade 4 Ryan Gosling films to blu ray and I grabbed a copy of Jupiter Ascending.

Abused the hell out of Prime Day 3-for-2--and I cut down from my initial shopping list:
Time Bandits
The Dark Knight Trilogy SE (Batman Begins/The Dark Knight/The Dark Knight Returns)
Avengers: Endgame
Captain America: The First Avenger
Whisper of the Heart
Audrey Hepburn 5-film Collection (for the wife) (Funny Face/Paris When It Sizzles/Sabrina/Roman Holiday/Breakfast at Tiffanys)
View to a Kill
Wonder Woman
Aquaman
The Italian Job
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

Ultimately they gave me half of the discs for free, plus I took the slow shipping option so added a bunch of digital credits to abuse later. Filled a few glaring holes in the collection.

I would have abused it more, but had to be careful since Amazon kindly plopped this on top of my birthday, so my wife had to vet the list and I have to not think about the differences too much.

I also had a little purchase on Prime day and managed to grab this for £65.00 ...a good price methinks. About time i sat down and saw what all the fuss is about.

and a few more. The scream Trilogy is for the wife, as they are not really my bag

A lot of the fuss is novelty for the first two, fans of the books seeing scenes they love and remember faithfully brought to screen. If you stick with it to the third one you're in for a refreshing surprise, visually, tonally, cinematographically, etc. They realized it was getting stale and brought in Alfonso Cuaron to direct and let him make it into something that would be interesting for a movie, not just a book adaptation. The rest afterwards and even the Fantastic Beasts movies to an extent, basically try to ape the style of the third one.

Still I like the series and think you'll find it charming at least.

Got this in about an hour ago. My first Superbit DVD. I'm waiting for the three-disc special edition to come in sometime this week.
