I'm after adding the black mat lines at the top and bottom of some clips for my Alien 3 edit but i'm not sure how. How do you do it and what software do you use to do it?

Thanks.

it depends on what you want to do.
I either do this with Ulead Media Studio Pro by adding overlapping back images or for th efinal encoding I use virtual dub mpeg-2 and use the resize filter to set the black bars for the entire movie.

Hummmmm dont have media studio pro but i do have virtualdub so i'll have a mess around with it, cheers again boon. I'll see how it goes :)

==EDIT==

Sorted, found a filter for virtual dub called border control that does the trick :) cheers again boon!
