Final Cut Pro: Which Audio Cross Fade?

Ok, so when editing, I use Audio Cross Fades to cover up my audiocuts within the same scene. Which is better to use, Cross Fade ( 0db) or Cross Fade (+3db)? I can't really hear a difference.
 
I always use +3, simply because I think it raises the audio levels to mask the volume dip in the crossfade. Though all that could just be in my head.
