Q: how was endgame the only solution? When it seems like so many other possibilities were missed?
A: marvel didn’t address this but the power of the soul stone is to literally keep its user from ever dying. If they had beaten him in infinity war he would have simply come back. This is why the only solution was to fight a different thanos without that stone and to have to go back and get the stone themselves. Hawkeye would have died when the explosion destroyed the building but the stone brought him back.
Q: What about all the ways they could have beat him in the battle? Scarlet witch or captain marvel?
A: The size of his army was far too great the avengers would have lost eventually and killing thanos without killing everyone else would have resulted in revenge from his army, the avengers would have died all over again.
Q: Couldn’t anyone else have snapped? So many others had the gauntlet. Their solution of returning the stones through the van would have left thanos and his armies trapped there. Didn’t they think of snapping before?
A: yeah I got nothing for this one... captain marvel could have snapped or even just used the stones in any way when she had it.
