Hi.

I've been working with mpeg-2 clips ripped from my dvds. I converted them and cut them out of the vobs with Mpeg Streamclip.

I'm stuck with iMovieHD since my copy of Final Cut 3 refuses to start.

I would like to remove credits and text on the video, blur it some or else crop it out of the frame.

I would also like to crop the frame to remove black bars at the bottom and top of one clip.

I'd like to add black frames, white frames, or otherwise pad the video at the end of a clip as the sound keeps going (for a second or two.)

Any tips on how? (I'll fire up the PC if I have to...)

Final Cut Pro + Quicktime Pro for MAC
Ulead Media Studio 8 and TMPGENC if you are using a PC

Oh and if you can find a site that will give free plugins for iMovie there is a ton of stuff you can do that you can't do when it comes with the Mac.

whenever I need black, i try finding it within the same movie. Try finding a spot before the credits roll or after, This way the black levels are consistant.
Nothing worse than black levels that jump all over the place.
