If you like horror or supernatural thrillers F. Paul Wilson is good. Also has a couple really good sci-fi ones.

Tom Clancy, John Grisham, Ian Fleming.

If you like classics, Alexandre Dumas (a fair amount of free Kindle books for him), Mark Twain (lots of free books as well), George Orwell (again, some good free ones).

Isaac Asimov and Ray Bradbury are must haves for the sci fi nut. I prefer the ideas of Asimov and the execution of Bradbury, it'd be awesome if the two had ever met and collaborated while alive.

Gigantic Death Worm by Vince Kramer. You will not find a stranger more off the beaten path book. It's short too: 69 pages.

Christopher Moore. Practical Demonkeeping, Coyote Blue, Bloodsucking Fiends, Island of the Sequined Love Nun, Lamb and A Dirty Job are fantastic.

Had some free time this evening so looked up F. Paul Wilson, Christopher Moore and Vince Kramer.

Wow!

Exactly the sort of stuff I like, excellent recommendations guys I really appreciate it!

While checking out Kramer I came across Carlton Mellick III, he sounds good too.

glad we finally have a books section.

too bad The King of Elfland's Daughter isn't available on kindle. but a lot of other lord dunsany stuff is available free on amazon.

Neuromancer and Burning Chrome are amazing works. i bet gibson didn't see the future he predicted unfolding as rapidly as it did.
