Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original:

Like the Star Wars OT re-edits, I tried to make a less-offensive SE that just cleaned up a few dated FX and threw in some fun new scenes without butchering the plot or visuals.

I'm going to see Super 8 opening night and wanted to watch ADigitalMan's version of E.T. to get in the right nostalgic, Spielbergian frame of mind.
