I've loaded a 4 GB mpg file into DVD Architect 4.5...and it told me my disc space used was 7.3 GB. Is there a way to fix this, or do I have to do more radical things to my mpg file?

you have to demux the file then load into arhitect.

The file was exported out of Womble as an .mpg, so I don't think it's been muxed yet...

mpeg is muxed...

use TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress>MPEG TOOLS>DEMULTIPLEXER or if it was in vobs use PgcDemux.

That's definitely not the problem. It seems Architect Studio doesn't like m2v (or anoy other other formats besides mpg the book says it can work with). Still sorting this out...thanks, though. :)

have you tried changing the extension to .mpv?

It only accepts .mpg. I actually found that running and mpg through Vegas will yield a file that, while it still exceeds the limit, much smaller on the disc than the one from Womble.
