Oh, it would be great if ADM were doing it. I could just watch it then. lol.
Could you find out Boon?
And yes the aspect ratio is basically a square.
Here is the same frame without matting:

not ADM, that other guy, AMDS, Neo vs. Robocop and stuff. Huge talent, but he had problems here with the English, which really is too bad.

Yeah, that cover is sick.

Couple of questions though.

The template you always use has "Cinemascope" and "THX" on it.

Is this accurate for all of your releases?

I have to be honest, I don't like the cover. It looks like it's trying to be a The Fast and the Furious movie. I think you should go mo retro. One man's opinion.

I like the framing of the cover - the steel look. But the one thing about the truck in this movie is that it was just SO ominous, menacing, threatening, so I have to agree with beckmen here.

Still its your cover and I've liked your work so far Jorge so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Duel is a great movie.

I just finished watching this... and it is just great! It looks like it was shot in widescreen and all the scenes that were taken out are not missed. I liked the beginning and end credits, they really fitted well, I also did not spot any flaws at all. THIS is the DUEL I will watch again.
This one had so much Hitchcock horror in it.
Congratulations and thank you for letting me have such a thrilling hour.

So what got done here besides cropping the top and bottom and re-encoding?
Doesn't that make this a custom DVD?

Original Runtime: 90 min
New Runtime: 65 min

no custom DVD :)
kbm trimmed it to the max.
But guess what, doctorM, I was thinking the same thing before I posted it on FE, because the info is quite irritating.

And kbm, no, I jus twatched the movie, but will take a look at the extras too.

While posting my HULK review, I was stunned no had posted a review of DUEL yet.... so here I go...

As I said in my SKY CAPTAIN posting, I think the highest praise you can give a fan edit is when after have watched it you realize you didn't notice anything missing. And this is definitely the case with Jorges remix of DUEL.

Now it has been YEARS since I watched DUEL, so I will admit my memory of it is a bit foggy. But after watching Jorges remix, if I had not known this was fan edited I would have assumed this was either a commercial dvd or fan preservation. The storyline is clear and linear, the transistion from scene to scene is flawless and the video and audio is excellent!

Another fantastic edit by Jorge! :D

Though my biggest question is how did you do the widescreen? I assume since this was a 1970s tv movie it was shot all full screen, yet in your edit I see no stretching or squishing, and nothing appears lost in the cropping.... so how did you accomplish this? Could this same techique be applied to any full screen tv show? Very curious how this is done....

Anyway, wonderful work Jorge!
Thumbs Up! :)
