What is it about? This was trimmed to make it seem more like a horror film.

Amount of time Cut/Added: approx.20m
Cuts removed/added/extended:
1. Opening monologue cut.
2. New Title
3. Cut out one-liners and bad jokes. Mostly bad dialogue.
4. Flirting between Samantha and Duke is cut out.
5. Most of the Monster POV's cut out.
6. Chromosome 24 completely cut.
7. Ghostly voices are added right before the Destroyer fight scene.
8. The sympathetic side of Sarge is has been trimmed down. Mean side is
left in.
9. Some Pinky scenes were cut out.
10. FPS sequence altered and shortened with new music.
11. Reaper/Sarge fight recut to make Reaper seem weaker.
12. voice-over added at the end.
13. Doom 3 theme music added into the end credits. altered end credits.
14. Plenty of other cuts. (bad acting)
15. New music.

Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original:
I cut it together to make it seem more like a horror film. Most of the jokes (good and bad) were cut out because they broke the mood. So did the "blossoming" romance between Samantha and Duke.
Most of the monster POV's were cut out and chromosome 24 was cut out to make the monsters seem scarier.
The less you know about them, the more horrifying they'll be.
