What if Amy and Rory hadn't been zapped back in time?

A new alternative ending for ATM created using footage from "The Power of Three" and a few omissions

Very cool! I think I saw this the last time you shared it, and I liked the results.

Thanks very much:)

I think the one you saw was my first stab at it (the good as gold and inforarium footage was clumsily included in that one, where as this one doesn't have that footage)

So, Amy & Rory die when they jump off the top of Winter Quay? Or do they survive?

I felt that the jump and the embrace mid air was a fitting end for the pair.

They survive in this edit. Afterwards, Amy has a chat with the Doctor, then decides it's better to spare the Doctor from watching them "fade from him" so she writes him a goodbye note telling him he'll never see them again, which creates a fixed point for him, which is in-keeping with the episode thematically ("once you know what's coming, it's written in stone"). Anything's better than "I can't stop by Manhattan in a sodding time machine because reasons"
