Next project was mentioned some time ago in my Maniac's projects thread
2 masterpieces of Dario Argento:

Fist one is Tenebrae (Unsane)
One of my favorites and also one of the best Argento did back in the eighties
The second one is Phenomena (Jennifer)
In this masterpiece the camerawork and music is outstanding

Probably done in December, at the moment also working on the "Killing for pleasure" edit (blog release November 17) and the Mad Max edit but I think the last one will be also done in December
That's it

Unsane?

Apparently there's a band named that, but other than that it's not a word AFAIK.

Also you've really got to work on your understanding of NSFW.  Usually you go to far in the other direction and post over-the-line crap without tagging it, now you're posting a completely tame behind-the-scene photo and calling it NSFW.

That NSFW crap is not coming from me, Frink.
But I shall remove it from the behind the scenes photo

Unsane is not a word
You think I made that up by myself?

UNSANE is an alternative title of Dario's Argento's Tenebrae

This is from Wikipedia:

The film's theatrical distribution in the United States was delayed until 1984, when it was released in a heavily censored version under the title Unsane. In its cut form, Tenebrae received a mostly negative critical reception, but the original, fully restored version later became widely available for reappraisal; it is considered by some to be one of Argento's best thrillers. The film critic and author Maitland McDonagh has said that it is "in many respects ... the finest film that Argento has ever made".[2]

Only my version will NOT be censored

I'm pretty sure you posted it, and that was not the direction you were given.

That would require an NSFW tag  ;)

As I said, you need to work on your understanding of what "NSFW" means around here.  Just because we have asked you to be more cautious in what you post doesn't mean you have to go the extreme other direction and hide every single image behind an NSFW tag.  Just try to apply a little common sense when posting.  Otherwise it seems like you're doing the equivalent of shouting "FINE!" when we ask you to tone it down.

Fair enough.

Yeah, I know what you mean
To put every image with that tag was a little overreacting I guess
From now on I will do it only if it's really necessary but I don't think it won't be a problem anymore because the front covers are lately not extremely violent or bloodier anymore
I keep it in mind

The first one of this triple is done
Unsane (Tenebrae) runs 69 minutes
The 2.35.1 overlay works well is this edit.
Same music overdub of Goblin as in the original
I edit some music off the cd with the original music in the movie
I used one alternative track of Goblin for this edit
The famous crane shot is trimmed, fact is in the first murder the killer is already inside the apartment of the woman
I did the same in the scene with the murder on the two lesbo's
I start today with the second one, Jennifer (Phenomena)

Still busy with Phenomena (Jennifer)
A tough son of a bitch this edit
To present this in a 2.35.1 ratio is a lot of work
A weird (original) ratio this Blu-ray, it supposed to be widescreen but you see black bars left and right
But not in this edit of course
Some scenes are re-scored with other music
I used in one scene a track of Susperia and also one from Tenebrae
A lot of sound effects are used
Unsane (Tenebrae) was already done but I decided to recut it one more time
Some things were still bothering me in the first version but know I am satisfied with the final project
So this version has now a running time of 64 minutes instead of 69
The running time of Jennifer will be around the 60-70 minutes
I hope by the end of the week I finish this second cut of the triple

The Jennifer (Phenomena) edit is done
It runs 64 minutes
Source is of course a Blu-ray, but although the quality is good I can't say that of the sound
Weird thing is that the English dialogue goes suddenly to Italian in some scenes, most of that is cut out but also in some scenes it goes from a noisy sound in the background to silence
Most of that is all fixed where it was possible but Jesus, this one was a hell to go thru in the process
But I am succeeded to have the edit I wanted

In January I start also with The Game 3, Rise of the Demons, and the remake of IT which is ordered on Blu-ray

Instead of a triple I made a double feature of this
The reason for that is that I own only the DVD of Opera and the quality of that is below standard
It was irritating me from the beginning but still the first idea was to do this as a triple
So I decided to do Opera later next year combining in a DF with Suspiria
I must have the Blu-ray so when the time is there I make a second DF of Opera and Susperia
I put this DF next week on the IFDB
Rest to say everybody happy holidays and a great new year
Let the edits roll in 2018!  (I'm sure I will)  :D
