Cross-fades in VideoPad

Hello. I've been using VideoPad thus far as an excellent user-friendly and free editor (i.e., free if it's a version older than 3.0). I've been completely satisfied with it except for one thing. When you cut part of a movie, and then try to cross-fade the previous clip with the next clip in line, a "blip" of what you just cut reappears, like a ghost, in the cross-fade. I have no idea why this would happen.

Anyone else have this kind of experience, either in VP or another editor...?

Thanks,
Gothamknight

Those are called flash frames. Try cutting off a frame or two to get rid of the "blip".
