I ended up buying Imandix, this is the 3D version of the first Blu-ray cover for Where the Wild Things Are: The Wild Rumpus Edition.

Wow, you have to BUY a silly program that displays 3D covers? Please tell me it can do more than that :D

The free version leaves a watermark on the covers. And the pro version is only $22, so it's not that bad.

I always use GIMP to make my 3dviews, its very simple and takes about two minutes, the images are simply laid over top of an actual 3dview using the perspective tool, then some shadows/highlights on the spine a bit and the disc reflection. Easy.

Yes, I did have to buy it, 'cause I'm insanely lazy ;-)

A (very) rough draft for njvc's future edit Pulp Empire.

Nice QC! Here's the original from Pulp Fiction. Could be cool to model your design on this one even further - eg, the font used underneath the logo for "a new edit by njvc", and maybe even experimenting with the worn look?

Sure, I'll give it a try. I've never done the "worn" look before but I'll see what I can do. I'll also see if I can find a font match for the subtitle.

Another draft design finished for Pulp Empire, with the poster in the style of Reservoir Dogs.

Here is some art for Star Wars: The Beginning. As I told bondukkevin, this design is aiming more for artistic quality/uniqueness than information. So there's hardly any info about the edit, save for the two lines at the top of the back. The title on the front is obviously partially covered, and I just loved how that looked so much, that I kept it that way - you can still read the full title on the side. I'm fairly happy with how fading the major players of the edit into the fire turned out.

Nice! Just fix the spine title so that "STAR WARS" isn't partially erased and it's pretty much perf.

At first I wanted it that way to make it look like it was partially covered by fire, but I could change it.

Your decision really. Still a great overall cover.
