• Most new users don't bother reading our rules. Here's the one that is ignored almost immediately upon signup: DO NOT ASK FOR FANEDIT LINKS PUBLICLY. First, read the FAQ. Seriously. What you want is there. You can also send a message to the editor. If that doesn't work THEN post in the Trade & Request forum. Anywhere else and it will be deleted and an infraction will be issued.
  • If this is your first time here please read our FAQ and Rules pages. They have some useful information that will get us all off on the right foot, especially our Own the Source rule. If you do not understand any of these rules send a private message to one of our staff for further details.
  • Please read our Rules & Guidelines

Hello! I'm new to the FanEdit.org community, so I don't really know if this message will be received by the staff or not. I took the time to read and understand the guidelines to this platform, but I wanted to ask someone directly about my question. How do I get a hold of the original editor of a fan edit? If I can't get a hold of them through the this platform, are there other ways to get a hold of them? The editor I'm referring to is Adam Dens who created the Hobbit: The Original Two-Film Structure video. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this!

Welcome! Thank you for reviewing the rules and guidelines. Good questions. You'll need to click on the users name and then click "start conversation" to create a primate messafe. From there you can request the edit directly from the editor. If you don't hear back from them in roughly 7 days, you're welcome to make a Trades and Requests post in the Trades and Requests forum. Here are the guidelines for that sub forum.

You may also want to look at Fan Edit Central (a quick Google will locate that site) and/or our Edit request resource list.

Hope that helps!
