Can't hear the LFE channel when editing 5.1 in Davinci Resolve/Fairlight

I have converted my 6 separate mono tracks into a link 5.1 group, but I notice that when I do this, I can no longer hear the LFE channel. I should clarify that I'm editing with stereo headphones and don't have a 5.1 speaker setup or even a subwoofer, so I think that might be the reason, but I can hear the LFE channel when it's an unlinked mono channel. Any thoughts?

It may be downmixing it for playback, in which case the LFE would be excluded. I don't use davinci much, but vegas does that.
