t's Matrix time...

restarted in January 2009.
 
We shall see...I'm downloading DeZIONized right now. I'll post a review when I've finished watching it.

i think dezionized worked really well. some little raw cuts or transitions, but good effort and nice edit. it gave me the idea of doing a Zion Chronicles fanedit from the removed zion scenes hehe.

I can't say just yet, as I haven't seen any of the Matrix edits. But That will change soon, I have Dezionized and Evolutions, and as soon as I've seen them both I'll post a comparison review.
 
Dezionized is brilliant. It was also the first fan edit that I watched with my fiancee, who also agreed that it was great.
I haven't watched Evolutions yet and I look forward to it.

So far it's Matrix Evolutions FTW though. I like DeZionized a lot, but M:E is just... great :)

Okay this thought was clearly half finished. De-Zionized is actually the better film here, and I think that says a lot actually. I just think M:E is a more satisfying sequel in its achievement of philosophical scope. I guess I just hate the ending that much, that I can sacrifice (relative) coherency, It would be nice if JasonN could do something to signal that the scene was different, somehow, at the end, since the Matrix is supposed to have come full circle and rebooted by then, ready for Neo. I think in terms of cinematic intensity the DeZionized edit wins--it is a tense thrill ride. Overall I guess what I am trying to get at it: its a very close call, and in some ways DeZionized has it.

Anyway, I anticipate the Spence edit, since I've heard as much good stuff about it as I had about. Then I can vote on this beast.
