It is not terrible life decision.....and even if is....so?....there is something like marital infidelity...right?...... always look on bright side of bottle of vodka...or something like that....

i just can't see myself caring about high def anything for some time... i don't have a high def tv... and if i don't get one over 40 inches.. then i really don't see any point in getting one at all. if i'm sitting 10-15 feet from a tv smaller than that, it won't matter if it's high def or not.... and i don't see myself getting a high def tv that big anytime soon... so i doubt i'll go high def for quite some time. dvd's are perfectly fine for me. :)

/bows to the god that is Lewis

lol i'm not exactly sure what circumstances led to my ascension.... :-?

perhaps my financial inability to procure a large high def system ;)
if that's all it takes... wow that was easy ;) haha

Bluray is a piece of shit?
ha ha ha ha that is friggin funny,I wonder why Disney and WB would want there movies on a piece of shit?
That's because Disney and Warner are crap. Your comments are both uneducated, and unproductive. Warner tried to stop the Australian rental market from using their retail DVDs - claiming they should be allowed to sell a more expensive version to them so they get higher royalties. Warner - correct me if I'm wrong - were the ones to come up with Region Code Enhancement to try and cause their discs to fail in multiregion players. That is the only time an IP owner/dvd publisher ever tried to enforce dvd region locking. Other companies tried (and continue to try) to enhance CSS security.
this topic is becoming a joke now,all it is now is a couple of people doing the Bluray bash, but keep it up,it is funny reading, people always hate the winners,so you guys keep bashing and sharing that tall glass of Drano.
Fine, buy bluray and be a little victim. Don't come crying to me when you can't fanedit a bluray movie because you can't rip it like you can hd-dvd, nor can you create a menu in bd-j because there's no publicly available authoring software. :p

DJ doesnt say he is going to fanedit with BD and you can rip BD,just look on torrent sits..

Yeah, but you can't rip BD+ yet. You can rip it, but BD+ is still there and isn't yet crackable.

Yet.

I don't recall the ability to do either of those two things when DVDs hit the market.

Also, this thread is the funniest in the board. Keep it up, all.

Aaw.

now you scared him away. shame on you all!

:(

Daniel,
good bye dude, have fun where ever it is you go.

cheers

Thought I might share this too,it is more news about the crappy Bluray format:

Paramount drops HDDVD. End of format war?

Paramount studios is poised to drop its support of the high-definition DVD (HD DVD) format after Warner Bros studio said it would back the competing Blu-ray format, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday. The loss of support from Paramount, which is owned by Viacom Inc, would likely deal the final blow to the HD DVD format backed by Toshiba Corp and put an end to the format war, the newspaper said on its Web site. Time Warner Inc?s Warner Bros studio on Friday said it would exclusively release high-definition DVDs in Sony Corp?s Blu-ray format, marking a major setback to the HD DVD camp.

Blu-ray discs outsold HD DVD by nearly two-to-one in the United States last year, but HD DVD had secured major allies in August when Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc said they would go exclusively with HD DVD. But Paramount is understood to have a clause in its contract with the HD DVD camp that would allow it to change sides if Warner Bros backed Blu-ray, the Financial Times said, citing people familiar with the situation. However, Paramount spokeswoman denied this news as speculative with ?Paramount?s current plan is to continue to support the HD DVD format?.

Source: Forbes, FT, Bloomberg

speculative or not, money talks,we will see what happens.

So now Disney,Warner, and Paramount are crap.

"From my point of view the Jedi are Evil" ;)
