I just got done watching the Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg movie "The Other Guys" and at around the 31 minute mark Ferrell and Wahlberg are at Ferrell's house and Ferrell is about to show him this presentation he made. He says that he did it with Adobe Premiere and that he's been fiddling with it recently. In fact he says that he cut out 3 minutes from Goodfellas.

Yeah, saw this recently and meant to mention it. He says he "does a little editing on the weekends". Was surprised to see such a niche hobby mentioned in that way, even if it is just to make fun of us. Maybe someone will do an edit of The Other Guys that removes the joke; really up the meta aspect of it all. ;)

Cool! But what did he remove from Goodfellas? :)

I'd like to know too. That film is perfect as it is. No need for an edit.

Looks like Fanediting has just gone a little more mainstream. The recent film "The Other Guys" makes a subtle reference to the art of Fanediting. At about the 31 minute mark in the film, Ferrell makes reference to cutting 3 minutes from Goodfellas with Adobe Premiere.

It's because it was promoted to an Article on the new FE.org site, though I'm not entirely sure the method Reave used. Once I talk him and figure it hopefully we can prevent it again.

No need for alarm. Just testing out the new news feature. This will make more sense when the new site is active next monday.

We may rewrite the first post for the thread or create a post prior to the original user's post to avoid confusion.

More will be revealed....
