The perfect cut of "Aliens", in a technical sense and a narrative sense. This cut keeps the good bits like the reveal of Ripley's daughter passing away after Ripley had been gone for 57 years, and Ripley & Hick's tender moment where they give each other their first names-- without the unnecessary bits like the Hadley's Hope scenes. Just as reviewer thespiedsniper below me said: "the director's cut keeps all its missing gems... and the theatrical suspense and intensity is retained." It too, is my go-to version of "Aliens", a 10 out of 10. Highly recommended.
