Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit making Extended Editions...

An extended cut of the classic Airplane! (known as Flying High over here in Australia).

This uses a 16mm scan of the TV Cut to added back a few moments back into the Theatrical Cut. It's nothing too substantial, just a few more jokes here and there.

It was a bit of work to get the 16mm footage to look a lot better than the raw scan. Everything has been stabilised, cropped and coloured to match up as best I could to the TC.

ADDITIONS (kept a little vague to avoid spoiling the joke)
- added the Egg Mouth couple seeing a friend in the airport
- added the plane starting up, with the pilots reacting
- added some extra stuff with Joey talking to Murdoch
- added first extra scene with the grown kids
- added second extra scene with the grown kids
- added Striker almost crashing the plane
- added third scene and final scene with the grown kids
- added McClonsky and Kramer arguing around the water cooler

As is tradition with my Extended Edition trailers, if I can find the director actively saying they don't like the deleted scenes or the idea of an extended cut, I'll use it.

I think it's only X-Men: DOFP and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but now Airplane! is on the list.

BTW, I really like that FE logo and warning in the style of an Age Rating. Nicely done!
 
MY GOD, one of my all-time favourite comedies. You have my undivided attention!
 
Surely you can’t be making an extended editions of Airplane! I can’t wait to see it!
 
I saw the TV version for years, and was shocked at what was removed (and included) when I finally saw the theatrical cut on DVD. Nice to see these jokes added back in!
