• Most new users don't bother reading our rules. Here's the one that is ignored almost immediately upon signup: DO NOT ASK FOR FANEDIT LINKS PUBLICLY. First, read the FAQ. Seriously. What you want is there. You can also send a message to the editor. If that doesn't work THEN post in the Trade & Request forum. Anywhere else and it will be deleted and an infraction will be issued.
  • If this is your first time here please read our FAQ and Rules pages. They have some useful information that will get us all off on the right foot. Thanks guys. I freely admit I skipped to the audio part because I had already used dvd decrypter and worked with the video some. I'm now trying to decide if it's worth the $80 to go with Vegas Movie Studio or stay with Womble, but I'll start over using the guide either way. :)

Rip with DVD Fab (free version is fine)
I went to the DVD Fab website and no free option jumped out at me. The only thing that looked possible to use that was free was something called Passkey Lite. Is this the right version?

Yes; videohelp.com is always my first port of call. You can find many useful tools there. It's updated regularly, and there is usually a direct link to the application to make life easier. :)

@Frink, don't worry. We've all been there!

thing is, frinky, it takes forever until you know half the tools you can use for editing. And just when you think you now know it all, a new door opens and makes things even more complex. I am editing for many years now and with each and every edit I leanr new stuff, new techniques, new programs, new specifications.
But... mastering your tools, knowing which tool to use when and what for is the key to fanediting.
