The problem with a film franchise is that when you have multiple films all going off in different directions, the underlying story tends to get a bit lost. The most obvious example of this would be Star Wars, but X-Men has it's own timeline that has started to get a bit convoluted (Especially since the release of X-Men: First Class). Leeroy has seamlessly replaced the flashbacks about Wolverine's past with the ones from the Wolverine film. He's also removed the characters that were played by different actors in this film, and they're not missed. These changes really help tie this one in to the rest of the series. Will be using this edit when I have my X-Men marathon before Days of Future Past is released next year.
