Yes, it is… and it may be “fishy” too, but I am hopeful that they are reporting the truth…

Vader force-gripping the Tantive IV Rebel and angrily shouting "...I don't care if he's been rogering the Duke of York with a prize winning leak!" was too much :D . I need oxygen.

Saw Solo just now, quite liked it. Problems yes, but I liked more than R1 actually as it at least had some likable characters.

I'd never watched Adywan's Revisited movies until yesterday. While I enjoyed them a lot more than the official special editions, I think I still prefer Harmy's Despecialized. The mixture of CGI and the '70s/'80s footage from the SE still feels weird to me. What versions of the OT do you guys prefer?

I actually watched Adywans Episode IV today with my sister. I think it's an incredible achievement and vastly superior to the versions that are officially available. That said, I'm not keen on some of the added CGI effects and some of the George Lucas changes that are kept. I've never seen the despecialised, but I have the original cut on VHS which I often return to.

Adywans ESB, on the other hand, is easily my go to version of Episode V. All the changes are a massive improvement on both the "special" edition and the theatrical cut. The new mattes look gorgeous and the whole thing is just taken up another level. I'm hoping to see something on a similar scale when Adywan revisits Episode IV for the HD version.

Ady knows this which should be changing in his 720p version of ANH.

If I remember well (but maybe I'm not), the Whills (or at least "shaman of the Whills") have been shown in The Clone Wars tv series during the very last and shorter sixth season. Yoda encounters them ( but I think their size could be microscopic anyway cause I don't remember them living on a "planet", they are in another dimension or something).

“Back in the day, I used to say ultimately what this means is we were just cars, vehicles for the Whills to travel around in….We’re vessels for them. And the conduit is the midichlorians. The midichlorians are the ones that communicate with the Whills. The Whills, in a general sense, they are the Force… All the way back to—with the Force and the Jedi and everything—the whole concept of how things happen was laid out completely from [the beginning] to the end. But I never got to finish. I never got to tell people about it.”

The whole concept of the midichlorians and the Whills sounds like something out of a completely different universe. It's not necessarily a bad concept, but I could never see it fitting Star Wars in any way, partly because Star Wars is Space Opera not Science Fiction (sure, there are elements of Sci-fi, but it's not the main flux and there isn't enough to justify the presence of something as bizarre as what George is talking about).

Has anyone ever read the original Journal of the Whills treatment? I’ve never been able to bring myself to read it. Does it have even the idea of midichlorians in it? Or is the Force merely a mysterious thing like in the original trilogy?
