Possibly this isn't the best place to ask, but is there anyone here who...
* likes "Pride and prejudice" or Jane Austen in general, and
* speaks Italian or Dutch, and
* has some time to help?

It's about English fan subs for two very old P&P TV series, one from Italy, and one from the Netherlands. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0877560/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0958009/) Next year will be the book's 200th anniversary and with a few people we're trying to get them both subtitled, so all the TV adaptations that still exist* will be watchable at least in English. But we're talking 5 or 6 episodes here and a lot of talking, so it's a LOT of work. Reply if interested.

* There were a lot more that were later destroyed or were never recorded, a great pity because one starred Peter Cushing and another Patrick MacNee. One later BBC version (later in this case meaning from 1967) has never been released, but perhaps it will some day leak out...

I'm a fan of P&P (also the Wright/Knightley adaptation), Persuasion and Northanger Abbey... not so much the other three. Have you seen my Jane Austen Strike Force idea? ;-)

Yes, but I couldn't go for any other version than the 1995 BBC series, regardless of Keira Knightley. Although the movie had its moments, it will never be the real thing.
