OK, first review here. I've waited a bit to get this one, it was difficult to acquire. It was worth it! I'm a huge fan of the phase 1 Avengers movies. This was part two of the "greatest hits" collection, so to speak. It is a great way to bring someone who is new to the series up to date quickly without sacrificing story. All of the important elements were there, I really didn't think that I was missing anything at all. The vibe I got from this was almost that of an old serial, but that's just my take. Like Neglify said earlier, the Captain America sequence was outstanding. I respectfully disagree with the ending dragging on, however. The ending was long, but it needed to be to bring in all the elements and set up The Avengers. I especially appreciated the Easter egg in the bar scene. Technically, the edit is superb. The cuts are done very well, and if there are rough patches in the audio transitions, that might come more from cutting 4 movies that are completely different in tone into one. I thoroughly enjoyed this edit, and I'm looking forward to part 3. (And I'm intrigued to see what that will bring!)
