Originally titled "Snitch", Monument Ave. is about a group of friends and low level gangsters in Charlestown, Mass. (same setting as "The Town"). It also centers around Charlestown's code of silence, nobody talks to the police about any crimes, (i.e. if you know who killed your brother you don't say a word), the community handles it their own way. Anyway, the movie has a bit of the feel of Mean Streets. At least the premise is sort of similar. I definitely recommend this movie though. Very good acting, good story. My only gripe is an overly long, stream of consciousness conversation that the characters have while on cocaine. Other than that, I enjoyed it. There it is: Gatos' Random Movie Recommendation of the Month.
 
Sounds pretty cool. Will have to check it out.
