Fanedit Running Time: 92min

Brief Synopsis:
A woman is about to get drilled and hammered... and not in the way she likes it...

In 1977 a series of nasty murders are carried out at the Lusman Arms, an old apartment building in Hollywood. The perpetrator is never apprehended.

27 years later a young couple moves in under ongoing renovations. And what seemed to be just an old apartment building turns out to be something much worse. There is something evil living deep inside the building itself...something that need to keep killing to stay alive.

And all you wanted was a little help with the plumbing...

Intention:
The original Toolbox Murders is pretty bad, only the kills are decent. The remake on the other has some really good stuff going on. The biggest complain I have is the character Ned, you know; the red herring, and the neighbor couple; Saffron and her boyfriend.

What I set out to do was to keep the killing spree from the original and use it as an intro to the remake. The kills have been recut, now with less misogyny, less bad acting and no masturbation.
I then tried to reshape the remake so it builds on the, now, 1977 section. I’ve gotten rid of dull moments and some scenes have been rearranged in order to tell the story in a, hopefully, more interesting way. Less bullshit more to the point with more kills. Giving everyone what they want.

Editing Details:
This modified toolbox contains a hammer, a screwdriver, a power drill, a nail gun, a wheel saw, bolt cutters and more.

Hey all right, found my Christmas Eve movie. Sounds neat-o.

found this the other day. have to say that I enjoyed the remake of toolbox murders. it'll be interesting to watch this edit. definitely looking forward to it for sure. so there'll be a review coming soon. (they even did a sequel to the remake, that I am lil unsure bout)

steFANedit strikes again :) I've never seen Toolbox murder - neither original nor remake but Tools can be a good piece of horror. I'll see it.

the remake wasn't too bad. however, i think this will definitely be better.

TBK 2 aka Toolbox Murders 2 (now called Coffin Baby) Creep Show Radio did a review for a workprint of that movie and it doesn't sound that good, they gave it ZERO

and to answer sonnybaker; this is a fanedit for the 2004 version but it contains footage from the 1977 version. It works as its own movie.

It says the links have been made private. Can you pretty please change that.

Looks like this one isn't for me.

Not if you loved everthing about the kills in the original Toolbox.

To go into more detail:
-The chick that finds the hammered leftovers is never seen being screwed on camera (I did a cutaway)
-The woman that gets drilled never hide in another room etc. She gets drilled in the arm, falls to the floor, gets knocked out, and drilled some more.
-Bathtube mastrubation and running around the apartment before gettiing nailed, is cut.

Second and third kill I cut becuase I thought it added to the tension, not being dragged out, less exciting, whatever, bla bla bla. First kill I thought was over the top misogyny.

Now you've clarified; definitely won't be seeing it :p
