This was a fairly enjoyable edit, certainly an improvement over the original film. I had always found the original to be boring, pretentious, and over long. I felt none of those things while watching this edit. There were a few lines of dialogue that were a touch confusing, especially between Kirk and Decker. I liked that the relationship between Kirk and Decker was downplayed, I just wish that some of the exchanges could have been slightly amended. Alas, we must work with the footage we have been given, and with that fact in mind, this edit succeeds wholeheartedly.
