I'm assuming you have several then? :)

Nah just this little fella.

Can you actually have a relationship with spiders? or is it like most reptiles and it's just taking care of them.

I doubt that, other than feeding him and having him crawl around on your hand, there can be any sort of interaction.
Unless AvP's going to mutate that thing and let it bite him...

They are a look and dont touch kind of animals.

lol, I thought that was a cup of coffee grounds.

If you don't mind me asking what is the attraction then? You know I'm a big pet person but my idea of a pet is a companion, something you can interact with etc.

fascinating, cool to watch them kill and cover the tanks with silk and cheap as chips to keep. How can you not think this isnt beautiful :)

A fairly serious spider phobia, admittedly the big furry ones are pretty cool apart from the ones that shed hairs and then ruin your eyesight.

Can you feed it live mice or it just bugs and stuff.

If he can feed it a mouse, dude has the biggest hands in the known universe.

You can feed them pinky mice maybe once a year but inverts are better for spiders becouse they have trouble breaking down the calcum and it can hurt it when it molts.

Just ordered my next T should be here very soon, "Green Bottle Blue" has such beautiful colours and amazing webs and fast growing!

cool. how fast do they grow? and do you know the gender of each spider?

I dont know the sex, will be awhile before that can be seen.

Red knee's males take about 3-5 years and die after sexual maturity. Females take about 5-7 years and can live upto 30 years, so these are slow growing and eating.

Green Bottle Blue's males take about a year and die after sexual maturity. Females take about 18 months and can live upto 15 years, so these are fast growing and eating.
