Looks great, with no spoilers at all, just a roundup of the team, Loki's villainy and some action ... if a bit Iron Man centric
 
I dug it. I'm not a comic book guy but it got me excited.
 
Looks promising. It has a Transformers vibe in the destruction scenes. This could turn out quite Epic. But i have some worries on the plot though....
 
I was meh.

I'm sure the movie will be good, but the trailer didn't give me the boner I thought it would.
 
I dont like the fact that it is 1.85:1 AR. It really should have been like this:

I reckon it's pretty unlikely. All the Marvel U films so far are in 2:35, as is Whedon's only other film so far.
 
But if it is 1.85:1 we have opportunity for "Reframed" fanedit I suppose :)

hm... still looks very transformery, but it will be nice eye candy for sure,

thankfully they inserted the spaceships so that the cars don't explode without any reason like in the first trailer
 
Definitely kinda pumped for it now. It'll be cool to see all the heroes on screen for sure.

Is it sad that my favorite part of the spot was with Loki and RDJ? "I have an army." "Yeah, well we have a Hulk."
 
so midnight premiere it is :D it was EPIC!!
 
I think this movie is going to be entertaining, but not good. It looks mostly like a mashup of video game fight scenes and fanboy appeasement.
 
Sorry to say, I agree with you Quickcut. There's something very cheap looking about the Avengers HQ scenes and a few other set pieces that concerns me... Nothing screams great cinema here to me yet. Really hoping to be proven wrong though. Would love for this movie to be amazing, but what a huge challenge for all those involved in making it... I'll be there on opening weekend with fingers crossed.

(oh, and cap's helmet looks really crap. so there)
 
glad Im not the only one that feels this flick [at least by the trailers] looks meh.
I've never been a marvel/avengers fan so I am not the target audience, I also thought most of the stand alone films were mediocre [with the highpoint being Capt America] so I'll see this one on netflix like all the others. Hopefully it will be something greater than the sum of its parts.

the first Iron-Man holds that title for me. Captain America at parts felt a little rushed...
 
I see for the UK release, it's been renamed Avengers Assemble, in case we get confused with teh 1960's/70's show that half the audience would never have seen - as they weren't born then :|
