Vegas, video under credits

hey, guys, having trouble finding an answer for this one, here, google, youtube, those.
i'd like to have a video playing under the credit crawl.
i would be halfway satisfied with a half and half screen, you know like a video playing beside the scrolling credits.
but, i'd rather have them both full screen, credit crawl scroll over the video.
using Vegas (obviously, with the tag).
it's not for a firstling effort, because if i submitted this as my firstling, i'd likely be kicked out of this little community.

ThrowgnCpr recommends making an image with all the text in it, but you can also do the similar thing with a text layer. A text layer is easier to edit but has less options. Also Vegas has a scrolling credits effect but you have to enter each line separately, which is a hassle, and I don't see what the advantage is.

I recommend following my tutorial that Brumous linked. Instead of creating a credit image with black background, make it a transparent PNG (white text with no background). have the video you want to play on a separate video track below the track that your credits will be scrolling.

ahh dang, i even looked through the "other" section. probably glazed right over it.
i'll put your guys in my "special thanks" section that i have to add to the end of the studio credits.
i might even post it here if i can get the movie to be pretty enough. (and have it NOT be my firstling.)
