Movie fans, brace yourselves: Vanessa Feltz is to make her big screen debut.
But she won't be shoehorned into a corset in a British period drama or trying her hand at out-quipping Hugh Grant in a Richard Curtis romantic comedy. Nope, she will star in a horror film, which will see her being force-fed porridge until her stomach explodes. The full-figured TV host will appear in stomach-churning British horror caper 'Kill Keith' - which tells the story of a man obsessed with killing homegrown celebrities, including Joe Pasquale and Keith Chegwin, the Keith of the title.
Described as a "low budget 'Shaun of the Dead'", the film will be directed by Andy Thompson. Despite her other co-stars, it's the scene of Feltz scoffing food until she explodes that will be the talking point. The filmmaker told The Sun, "A number of film distributors are interested and we are pencilling in a cinema release date for the first quarter of 2011.
"The film has been made for under ã500,000. When we asked celebs if they wanted to take part they liked the idea. They realised we were having a tongue-in-cheek dig at celebrity."
A poster of the film will see enduring celebrity Chegwin dressed in a tuxedo, with the tagline reading 'Dying To Be Famous?'
