Random movie thoughts

Stumbled upon this old TV spot for Batman Begins.  I forgot that the movie dropped nearly 14 years ago so this was a fun reminder.

I wish Wes Anderson would make a Trip to the Moon/Jules Verne type movie, sort of a round trip voyage to the planets in the solar system in a victorian space liner. Owen Wilson is the captain, Bill Murry is a scientist/inventor, Jason Schwartzman is the steerer of the ship wheel (whatever that job is called), Natalie Portman is an author for a british paper, Angelica Huston is an alien queen, Willem Dafoe is a martian foe, Kumar Pallana is a radio/comm operator, Gene Hackman is the engineer, Ben Stiller is Angelicas buffoon henchman, Danny Glover is the president of earth, Jeff Goldblum is the ships erroneously hired pianist, George Clooney is looking to be the first man to marry a woman from another planet, Bruce Willis is the chief of security, Jared Gilman is a cadet first class, and Jack Nicholson is the the guy who translates human into alien and alien into human, but he has plans of his own.

Hmmm

If you didn't know 'Gavin Rothery' is the director of Archive  (left) and the conceptual designer for Moon  (right)

Topher Grace edited every single Star Wars movie into an emotional and epic trailer: Watch

^ Very well edited! but was the inter-cutting of "He was a good friend" and "I hate you!" supposed to be a joke? :D

This month I'm going to attempt to rewatch all the 007 movies and complete this bracket.

Yes, I'm aware the bracket formatting is messed up, but it's fine.

Please un-mess it, trying to figure out what it should be, is making my head hurt :D .

I think Christopher Walken would've played an interesting Hitler. He's got the right eyes for the role, certainly. His accent might've broken suspension of disbelief, though. At any rate, he's too old now.

I didn't think it was messed up to a headache-inducing
degree, but I fixed it anyway.

The seeding was randomized, by the way.

^ That bottom right quadrant is harsh, it's got all the best Bond movies in there (plus Moonraker ;))

With that chart I'd go:

The Man with the Golden Gun
Casino Royale
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Goldfinger
A View to a Kill
Octopussy
The Living Daylights
GoldenEye

The Man with the Golden Gun
Goldfinger
Octopussy
The Living Daylights

Goldfinger
The Living Daylights

The Living Daylights... or maybe Goldfinger  :D

Nearly did a spit take as I'm rewatching You Only Live Twice and read the credit "Screenplay by Roald Dahl".

We'll probably never get Alien: Awakening, but at least the franchise hasn't been entirely abandoned:

Most superhero films are mediocre at best, including the MCU films.
