8 The Godfather Part II
9 21 Grams

I just started... looks like this will take awhile tho

How is Batman and Robin in this list?

Hey cool, it remembers what movies you haven't seen... it's like a shopping list

or PREDATOR or SE7EN! its a movie-mind twizzler!

Yep, I know what you mean...
Se7en vs Dark City... doh!
There's Something About Mary vs Airplane! hurm...

edit: Scarface vs Dirty Harry... ugh

wow... I picked Robocop over Dark Knight

This is the site that I wanted to make back in 2006. I didn't get enough people with skills involved so it never got off the ground. I find that the ladder system works wonders for rating things.

Looks like great fun!

It is fun. I'm guessing that it will start giving me some results to count on by 10000, but at 3000 I have this top 20 list that is pretty agreeable:

Heat
The Boondock S...
Lost in Transl...
Butch Cassidy ...
Amélie
The Terminator
Blade Runner
A Clockwork Or...
From Hell
Cube
Alien
Fight Club
Groundhog Day
Das Boot
Braveheart
The Life of Br...
The Lord of th...RotK
Batman Returns
The Bridge On ...
Dogma

I'm still a little shamed-faced over mine. don't know how it happened.

my 20 so far (after only 280 ratings). Not a terrible list for me. Be curious to see how things level out after a lot more ratings.

1. Blow
2. Memento
3. Blade Runner
4. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
5. The Lord of the Rings
6. South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut
7. Dogma
8. The Empire Strikes Back
9. Return of the Jedi
10. Rocky
11. Terminator 2
12. Back to the Future
13. The Shawshank Redemption
14. The Ring
15. Alien ³
16. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
17. Napoleon Dynamite
18. V for Vendetta
19. The Patriot
20. Shrek

thats an awesome list.
I notice i play it differently at times. Sometimes i think "whats the better movie" and sometimes I think "if these two movies were playing simultaneously on tv, which would I watch?"
which of course gives you two different results.

most times its been really obvious to me. Often I don't have different opinions on "what is the better movie" and "what would I rather watch" Its all rather subjective and personal anyway. Comparing Fast & Furious to Crouching Tiger is pretty obvious to me  I don't go in for a lot of huge action chase movies (though there are some big name ones on my list) or really really dumb comedies (see Scary Movie 473). The gore flicks easily lose the match too. hahaha

I was having a lot of fun with this. Though it quickly became obvious to me that there are still a lot of movies I want to see!!!

Dogma
Batman Begins
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Office Space
The Empire Strikes Back
Shaun of the Dead
Ratatouille
Aladdin
Groundhog Day
Pulp Fiction
The Bridge On The River Kwai
The Silence of the Lambs
The World Is Not Enough
South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut
Brazil
To Kill A Mockingbird
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
The Incredibles
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Finding Nemo

5000 rankings, and I find that it seldom gives me any new movies as a choice. Got 550 in my list. Also I'm wondering how they calculate the global ranking, because it seems to depend heavily on how many that have seen it.

Current top 20:

Heat
The Boondock S...
Schindler's List
Batman
Lost in Transl...
Aliens
Butch Cassidy ...
Amélie
The Terminator
Blade Runner
Reservoir Dogs
A Clockwork Or...
Ghostbusters
From Hell
Cube
Alien
Life Is Beauti...
Fight Club
Groundhog Day
Das Boot

Adding Aliens and Reservoir Dogs feels good, but I'm still missing some movies that would top much of the current ones. Funny seeing Batman and Ghostbusters get in there.
