You beat me to it. yes pleae go on. talk about how in act 3, BA would create an entire arsenal out of chicken wire and gaffer tape and destroy the mob that wields AK-17s.elbarto1 said:A-team was always grounded, realistic.
I think they shot and killed cars aplenty but never people. even bad people.
As for the far out stuff, if they had the budget and tech like now, I'm sure they'd do it.
They ruin all tv shows-into-movies. I SPY, WILD WILD WEST, etc.

yes they do. I loved Miami Vice as a kid and look at that stupid movie. turned off after 15 minutes. although a few days back i watched a rerun of the show (think it was second season) and it was totally unbearable eighties cheese.
...so what about my favorite show back then, the fall guy?
you think Lee Majors can still play the part...?

ThrowgnCpr said:The problem with these movies is that they take away HOW we remember the show. These shows were all pretty cheesy and bad, though somehow we liked them. I remember recently going back and watching some MacGuyver (which when I was younger, I thought was FUCKING AWESOME). Man was that show bad. Bad, bad, bad. But still funny bad.
The new big Hollywood remakes don't work for a couple reasons: they dont have the nostalgia, and they try to take themselves too seriously. I would like to see this A-Team movie though
In fairness to elberto I get what he meant about The A-Team being sort of realistic. Sure it was laughable & ridiculous but it always kinda felt like the stuff they did was possible to do in real life. Knight Rider or something like that I think was probably more fanciful than the A-Team.
Though I recently re-watched The Guyver series, something I haven't seen since I was about 12 & I still thought it rocked
thundercats would be a cool movie (if done right)Personnally, I'd still like to see He-Man & Thundercats turned into proper films.
I have the first season on my netflix queue for the sole reason of seeing the ants episode again. I hope it holds up...elbarto1 said:I tried to rewatch MacGyver a few years back when it hit DVD and I couldnt get through the first season. too bad because I had no recollection of most of the episodes (I must have started watching the show later on) and a few were odd - pilot episode where mac uses a gun? and the fire ants episode?
