I have just thought up the most genius mixed drink ever:

1 part:

2 parts:

Not sure what to name it though...

*EDIT, clearly I'm not as much of a genius as I thought:

Is it sad and/or pathetic to feel a great sense of accomplishment after freeing up several gigs worth of hard drive space?

Neither. These victories are worth celebrating. I've been cleaning/organizing my drives lately, and there is still much to do. Beers will be toasted when the job is done :)

 I've heard it many times over the years and it just really annoys me. Just last year I went to my cousin's house for a family get-together and I stopped by the LCBO with my brother-in-law for some beer. I bought a couple of tallboys and I put them in the freezer. Not too long after that my aunt came out and told me she put them in the fridge so they wouldn't explode. WTF!?! When have you ever seen a can of beer, or soda, explode because it's in the freezer? Especially after so little time. You know what happens when you leave a can of soda or beer in the freezer too long? The contents freeze. That's all. I can't be the only one who's heard this saying before? Maybe it's just a Canadian thing?

OK, I've done some further observations on this controversy. It appears that Soda cans routinely explode in the freezer, but beer cans just expand out and deform. I can not speak to all brands, having only observed Coke and Coors Light. Although, I seem to remember blowing up some Corona bottles.

If anyone would care to donate to this important scientific cause, I will gladly test (and consume) other brands of beer and soda.

:-D

Gatos, I agree with Throw. Cleaning up your hard drive is just as much of an accomplishment as cleaning up your house or room or whatever. In fact, it might even be more of an accomplishment, since it sometimes requires creativity to figure out which files to delete and which to keep, which to zip up or defrag, etc. So definitely feel proud! :)

It would be an accomplishment if it were more than just "several" gigs. :p

That's my point, saving 5 gb or so (even on a 300 gb) isn't getting you very far.

Yes, but what if those several gigs are all porn?

It amazes me that people save porn on their computer, or worse yet, purchase it in a store. I mean, FFS, that's what the internet is for :p well, porn and cat memes

I'm surprised that porn magazines are still in business. But why wouldn't you save porn on your computer? Saves you from having to look for it again, and saves you the bandwidth too.

And you don't have to wait for the loading/buffering, uh I mean, that's what I've heard.
