The Wikipedia article has it listed as "fan edit". Usually I think we try to write it "FanEdit" as an official spelling, but really any of them are fine.

danedit and fandit are different beasts altogether.

At this site the semi-official spelling is FanEdit. What you do outside of FE is your own damn business.
