The article was updated to state that they may be doing an origins story instead.

This makes sense because that's what Ridley Scott wanted to do years ago but instead they made Alien VS Predator so Ridley rightfully told them to piss off.

If this is the case, I'm interested to see an origins story. After all, there is still unanswered questions about the first Alien movie.
