Just re-watching this and never realized the opening sequence is really dark, especially the outdoor beach sequence. Something seemed off.

I have the DVD of this, so I don't know how the Blu-Ray appears, but it really appeared noticeable.

The casino scene that follows does not appear to have an issue, so it's not the entire film.

I know there have been numerous fanedits of other Bond films, but don't know if anyone addressed this one or not.

@"LastSurvivor", did you have this issue in your excellent LS Cut?

Again, I'm watching the studio version; when you get to the big ski chase (with the avalanche), the sky changes color, the closeups never match the long shots in color, the snow goes from bright white to dingy... Really needs color correction on some scenes, just for consistency. It's a bit of a mess.

If that has been corrected in a fanedit, I would LOVE to know!

The reason why the color is off is unfortunately a lot was shot day-for-night and was not done properly.  Its supposed to be the middle of the night but the sky is so bright its hard to not be taken aback.  To me its the movie's one true flaw (I think Lazenby is fine in the role and sometimes even brillant) and one unfortunately that's not easily fixed.

I've now gone on to watch Octopussy.

Some will no doubt find it odd that Octopussy is probably one of my favorite James Bond films, but I love the music score and I've always been a Roger Moore fan. I've probably watched it more than any of the others.

I'd watched all of the Bond movies from June to August, minus rewatching the Craig ones, and a lot of the earlier movies, especially the Connery ones, had that problem. I wonder how audiences back then felt, as they were super obvious to see.
