The animation in this looks absolutely amazing. I think I'll be checking this one out on prime.

Here's the director explaining the animation techniques.

And another look at the rotoscoping.

Here's a longer look at how the series was made. I jumped through it and it looked like it has some spoilers near the end. Article link: https://arstechnica.com/video/watch...eams-to-life-through-rotoscope-and-oil-paints

If you want to prime yourself for this, you probably want to check out Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly. Both movies are directed by Richard Linklater and are rotoscoped in a similar (but rougher) style.

Waking Life (2001)

A Scanner Darkly (2006)

Tried out the first episode and then found myself skipping around after a few minutes. Looked at a couple of other episodes too. Not my type of content. Still, the art is fantastic.

Thanks @"iridium_ionizer" . I've seen trailers for a Scanner Darkly, but the imagery morphs a bit too much for me. The painting look of Undone is what initially drew me to it. I might have to finally go watch Vincent to get my painting imagery fix :)
