• Most new users don't bother reading our rules. Here's the one that is ignored almost immediately upon signup: DO NOT ASK FOR FANEDIT LINKS PUBLICLY. First, read the FAQ. Seriously. What you want is there. You can also send a message to the editor. If that doesn't work THEN post in the Trade & Request forum. Anywhere else and it will be deleted and an infraction will be issued.
  • If this is your first time here please read our FAQ and Rules pages. They have some useful information that will get us all off on the right foot, especially our Own the Source rule. If you do not understand any of these rules send a private message to one of our staff for further details.

Ever since Ivan Ortega started to do videos on his editing choices on the Last Jedi, why he made certain changes and how he's done them, I have noticed other people have started to do them as well:

-Ivan Ortega: *link removed due to the user monetizing their videos*

-Gigawattboy: https://www.youtube.com/user/Gigawattboy

-Cat's Prime Cuts/CathyFulcherBakerhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2GaNSrsDkmuDnGwO4-U7uA

-Sheepish: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvgeI1v...W34eVMs9Ow

And even I've started to do it!

While this is often an intriguing, educational and inspiring experience, we need to remind any member of this community that if you are monetizing your youtube videos, your links will be removed and your account may be banned

Faneditors must never receive or solicit monetary gain from their fanediting endeavors. This also extends to the use of patreon pages.

If you have any questions regarding this rule please PM a staff. Thank you for keeping our community legit.

Keep those videos coming!

Cool as a prime cat as always theryaney ;)

@"wilhelm scream" might I suggest that we update the OP to contain links to the various youtube channels that are posted?

Ahh! I love being mentioned! Also, as someone on this list who has never monetized a video, it is super important that we continue to do this without monetary gain. Many people already think fan-editing is illegal, and all it would take is one community member to potentially make that true.

My edits wouldn't be half as good were it not for the feedback and input from the communities of FE.org and OT.com.

That being said, my style preference is to keep kitchen stuff in the kitchen and present a good dish once its all ready.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm talking about how I prefer to do things myself. I don't do it that way usually, because again, things are so much better when I open things up to the community.
