yuck. I saw this one last night and its friggin bad. its scorpion king bad. stay away unless you are a huge fan of this tripe.

maybe a fan edit can do something here by removing the piss poor one liners but this was really bad.

But did you like it more than Mummy 1 and 2?

I think I actually liked SK more than M3 and I really didnt like SK very much. I am interested in Spences edit but he has his work cut out for him on this turd.

I'll never see Scorpion King again, but at least if I did, I wouldn't have to remember The Mummy Returns' existence. :)

I thought the 'Mummy Returns' was the best of the series. But I have only seen each movie once.

Dean Ebert:
It is a curiosity of movie action that too much of it can be boring. Imagine yourself on a roller coaster for two hours. After the first 10 minutes, the thrills subside. The mistake of "The Mummy Returns" is to abandon the characters, and to use the plot only as a clothesline for special effects and action sequences. If it were not for references to "The Mummy" (1999), this sequel would hardly have a plot at all.
The remedy.

It's been too long since I've seen those films to remember how much I liked it but I do know I liked SK.

Scorpion King is was medium, not impressive, but it is always better then Mummy 3. That movie is just utter crap.

I guess I never really thought the plot of the whole series was terribly original and strong to begin with (c'mon Mummy has nothing on Indy) which is why I enjoyed M2's style over substance approach. That and I can watch Rachel Weisz read the dictionary and I'd be entertained.

I don't care if I'm the only one on Earth who believes it; I'll argue it again - The Mummy remains the best archeological-adventure movie since Raiders. :p

I'd bet lots of people agree with you, I am just not one of them. :)
