The annual awards have been missing for a few years but it is now back. There will be multiple categories (like the old days) for the 2018 FEOTY poll which will be forthcoming. Please vote here for the 2015 Fanedit of the Year. Voting will remain open through January 31, 2019.

What is the criteria for the competing edits? I don't want to seem petty but I don't see either of my edits. Just curious.

I just took the  winner and runner up for FEOTM each month of the year and put it into a poll.

I thought it was a vote between the FEOTM at the end of the year.  When did that change?  Seems a little off.  They lost the FEOTM yet get a shot at the FEOTY.   If it wasn't good enough for the month why is it good enough for the end of year vote.

I don't think so it gives those edits in the more competitive months  a second chance after they may have been more widely seen...
 
I get requests for edits, and request edits from others, months after the FEOTM polls they were in ended. So by the time FEOTY rolls around, maybe people have changed their minds? Nobody is forcing anybody to vote for the runner up edits. If you don't want to, don't.

I don't know what is a change to the  process because this competition hasn't been done since I've been an active member (4 years). I couldn't find polls from back then explaining the nominee process (I am not an admin so maybe that's why). If we're asking people to vote for edits from 4 years ago, giving more options seems like the fairest idea. At this point, the vote for best of 2015 is as much about what holds up or was popular long after release as it is what won FEOTM. That's unavoidable when you do the poll years later, but gives it an interesting layer. It's like doing an Oscar based on what held up from five years ago. For me, it's really fun when to think about like that.

Actually, I don't give a damn about winning awards, I made that clear years ago when I stopped publishing my edits to fanedit.org due to administration on the site and stupid bitchy as responses like that.  Multipule years later you are still a dick and go out of your way to be a dick, so please eat one and make everyone happy.


Was I in the running sure on this particular poll, yes.  Is it about loosing, not at all.  Search my history not once have i complained if one of my edits didn't get voted in.  I saw that a non FEOTM won where there was ties under that which lead me to ask a question.  Which I found most responses to make sense minus Fink being the Dicky dick he is.
 
And with that, thread closed.

Since you're still carrying a long-term grudge against me, you might consider staying away until I'm no longer a staff member.  If you do decide to come back, you'll need to dial back the attitude, and leave out the homophobic shit while you're at it.

Notice to the community, juice's ban has been extended to a week for making a sock account to continue the attack.  Making sock accounts is forbidden by the rules.  Don't do it.
 
Juice has now been banned permanently (or until I decide to lift the ban). He created a second sock to continue this argument.

Personal attacks are not tolerated. If you don't take the hint to knock it off, you will be banned.
 
So anyway... it looks like the voting period is over now, am I correct? Are congratulations in order for the winner yet?
