A Youtube user by the name of GaryInMotion has a unique MST3K project going on where he takes the original movie and plays the MST3K commentary over it out of vision, you don't need to bother with either the silhouettes or the sketches in between breaks,

I don't consider either of those a "bother" but ok.

Those are the best parts of MST3k! The only downside to the MST3k version of the films is that they are trimmed down to fit TV. I heard an interview with Joel recently where he talked about doing live shows where they don't have to worry about that. I'm not sure if they trim the movies for the Netflix seasons.

Joel and Mike both have their own groups that do some live shows.  Mike's is Rifftrax and you can buy some of their live ones off of Amazon.  I've seen a few in theaters for a limited release and it's always fun.  They did a new one for MANOS and it's just as hilarious.

At one point they were doing big budgeted ones that couldn't have a home release, Starship Troopers which was pretty good and Godzilla '98 which is AWESOME.

I've seen Sharknado, The Room, and the Anniversary Tour (or whatever it was where Mike brought everyone together to riff on different clips, including Jonah).
