i was wondering what is peoples take on season one of the tv series the mist. having not read stephen king book i cannot give any insight on if the tv series was faithful to the book or not but i can say i enjoyed the movie version of the mist better. the movie for me made the mist scarier beacause the mist was from a tear in alternate realitities whereas the tv series made the mist a sort of chemical weapon gone wrong. The mist in the series had the mist make your fears manifest into solid hallucinations ,where the movie was full of oversized creatures and tenticaled monsters of varying shapes and sizes.
 Then the series tried to add drama of a teenage rape which *SPOILERS* anyone who watched the first episode picked out who the rapist was.where the movie had the drama of trying to get home to his wife for his son.
 
The movie was definitely much better than this tv show 
I stopped watching it after the fourth episode
For me this was a real disappointment
