Hello -

Just wanted an opinion on what anyone thinks about Powerdirector as an editor. Is it limited?
Easy to use?

Thank you!

I'm 100% you're the first person to ever mention such an editing program on this site. The majority of people here use more common NLE such as Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas and Final Cut Pro.

:) Well I tried Vegas but couldn't get audio and video to sync up when importing a clip. Also found it difficult to pick up in general.
Was looking for something maybe simpler but with the same capabilities as anything else.

Thank you

Actually, this is the program I use. I had a tough time trying to figure out Sony Vegas and I'm happy with what I've done solely using PowerDirector. Only real major complaint is that any sort of color correcting causes some pixelation so to occur. For what I've done with my edits, it's worked fine.

I tried an old version years ago and thought it was crap. Maybe that's changed, but I still have my doubts.

I'm the 1/7.3 billion.

Any product of theirs I've tried has had horrible output. Easy? Yes. Good? No.

If it's not in sync in Vegas it's probably better to look at your pre-editing workflow (i.e. fix your input files) than to try a different editor.

I believe that Harmy started with PowerDirector but switched when he found it limited. What theslime said is sound advice.
